About SEETE
Prison Consultancy, Training & Rehabilitation Services.
SEETE – Securing Enabling Environments Through Empowerment – is a lived-experience-led prison and criminal justice organisation providing specialist consultancy, accredited training, rehabilitation programmes, cultural awareness support and resettlement services across England and Wales.
We work alongside prisons, HMPPS, probation services and criminal justice partners to create safer, more rehabilitative environments, improve staff–prisoner relationships, strengthen equality and inclusion, support recovery and help reduce reoffending.
Founded in 2025 and informed by extensive lived experience of custody, rehabilitation and reintegration, SEETE bridges the gap between policy, professional practice and the lived reality of prison life.
Our work is built around five specialist areas:
ISFL Consultancy & Implementation – supporting prisons to develop effective Incentivised Substance-Free Living environments that encourage recovery, responsibility and positive change.
Accredited Prisoner Mentor Training – equipping serving prisoners and prison leavers with recognised mentoring skills, professional boundaries, communication skills and the confidence to support others.
Prison Leaver Accommodation & Resettlement – providing structured accommodation and practical support to help people leaving custody avoid homelessness and successfully reintegrate into the community.
Equality, Welfare & Cultural Awareness – supporting prison staff and people in custody to improve cultural understanding, communication, equality, inclusion and relationships within the prison environment.
Accredited Awareness & Offender Courses – delivering structured programmes that challenge harmful thinking, increase personal responsibility and support rehabilitation and lasting behavioural change.
Alongside these services, SEETE provides criminal justice lived experience talks and workshops for prison staff, prisoners, probation, police, education providers and other organisations.

SEETE's approach is different because lived experience is not an addition to our work – it is one of its foundations.
We understand the realities of custody, prison culture, rehabilitation and reintegration while recognising the operational responsibilities, pressures and professional boundaries faced by prison staff.
This enables us to engage people credibly while working constructively alongside professionals.
Our purpose is simple:
To help prisons move beyond managing behaviour towards developing people – creating safer environments where responsibility, rehabilitation and sustainable change can take place.
What we do
SEETE – Securing Enabling Environments Through Empowerment supports prisons and criminal justice partners to create safer, more rehabilitative environments that reduce re-offending and improve outcomes for both staff and people in custody. Grounded in lived experience and informed by evidence-based practice, we work alongside prisons to strengthen recovery, improve equality and inclusion, enhance staff–prisoner relationships, and support successful resettlement. Our approach bridges the gap between policy, practice, and lived reality, helping individuals take responsibility, build capability, and prepare for life beyond custody.
SEETE works with prisons and criminal justice partners to move environments from simply managing behaviour to developing people.
